Senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jode Nyaya Yatra has reached Kishanganj district of Bihar. Rahul Gandhi reached Kishanganj via North Dinajpur district of Bengal. Congress supporters, MLAs and MPs gave a grand welcome to Rahul Gandhi. While addressing the people, Rahul Gandhi said that many people asked us what is the aim of this yatra? Why are you doing this journey on foot? So we explained that the ideology of RSS-BJP has spread violence and hatred. Brother is fighting with brother. These people are fighting from one religion to another. We wanted this to be a country of love. I am saying again that I opened a shop of love in the market of hatred. During this journey I got the support of lakhs of people.
This journey had a huge impact on Indian politics.
Rahul Gandhi further said that we met lakhs of people in this journey. Took selfies with thousands of people. We walked for seven hours. There were talks with students, mothers, farmers and laborers. She used to tell us about the pain and difficulties she had in her heart. We used to present our views for 15 to 20 minutes in the evening. This journey had a huge impact on the politics of India. A new ideology emerged against the hatred and violence that the BJP puts before the country every day. That is of love. You know hatred cannot cut off hatred. Only love can cut off hatred.
Congress was able to win only Kishanganj seat in 2019 elections.
Actually, Kishanganj is considered the stronghold of Muslim vote bank. This is the only district where, even in the Modi wave, Congress candidate Dr Mohammad Javed surprised everyone by winning the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. On Kishanganj seat, Congress candidate Dr Mohammad Javed had opened the Grand Alliance account by leading Congress to victory. However, this time Congress is facing a tough challenge from AIMIM. There was a close contest in the last elections also. Congress has taken seriously the increasing inclination of voters towards AIMIM in all Muslim dominated seats including Kishanganj. Therefore, Bihar Pradesh Congress is trying to reach the entire Bihar through Seemanchal. Rahul Gandhi will address a public meeting in Purnia on Tuesday. He is going to stay in Bihar for two days.
